The Astros are LOADED and primed for a third consecutive 100+ win season…..They have an absolutely BONE CRUSHING batting order, a pair of aces and a solid bullpen…..The Angels are a puzzle wrapped in an enigma ensconced with a dash of mystery……Our AL WEST INSIDERS seem to believe they could win anywhere from 75-85 games…..The offense should be good and having a dude named “Mike Trout” can’t hurt…..We worry about the rotation and new manager Brad Ausmus had a .486 winning percentage with LOS TIGRES……We cheer for the Athletics every year because they are unconventional, scrappy and almost always overachieve…..Their phenomenal manager Bob Melvin will have to do his best work this season as the offense and defense are fine BUT what about the starting pitching?……Using “openers” at times may work but it’s hard to see them contending with Houston…….The Mariners we be without ace closer Edwin Diaz and power hitter Nelson Cruz but might have enough left to get over their win total…..Our primary concern with a Seattle season win total “over” is the possibility that they dump a lot of quality pieces at the trade deadline…..The Rangers might have a shot to actually be better than the Blue Jays this season…..Their lineup is legit and they have a fine closer…..Of course there is always a catch and in this case it’s the starting pitching…..We also wonder about how many key pieces they may get rid of during the season once they know it is a lost cause.

Houston won 101 and 103 games the past two seasons. We love the look of this team and the division is rotten.
