The Big 12 looks to be pretty good this season and we get our first big time match-up when TCU visits Oklahoma St on Saturday. Both teams are sitting at 3-0. TCU can boast a nice road win over Arkansas whilst the Cowboys best win was a SPANKING of Tulsa in week one. The Cowboys are on SUPAH HOT FIRE. Can TCU keep up ? Let’s find out !

The Match-Up
Oklahoma St offense vs TCU defense
WOWEE WOW. Can these guys be stopped ? QB Mason Rudolph has been playing spectacular football (11-1 TD to INT ratio) and the Pokes have a great 1-2-3 punch at RB (Hill,King,Brown) that makes the offense absolutely DEVASTATING. They also sport four WRs with over 100 yards receiving including star James Washington. The TCU defense is off to a pretty good start (#15 FBS) but did give up some yards to SMU last week. The D is very experienced and well coached. The possibility is certainly there to give the Cowboys some trouble, but being realistic, it seems unlikely they will be able to hold Oklahoma St to less than 35 points.
TCU offense vs Oklahoma St defense
TCU has not been chopped liver on offense this season (#19 FBS) and have been nicely balanced between the run and the pass. QB Kenny Hill as an 8-2 TD to INT ratio so far, RB Darius Anderson has been great, and the distribution among the weapons in the passing game has been good. The Cowboys have had trouble getting off the field on 3rd down (43%) and TCU is ranked #1 (!!) on third downs with a 66%% success rate. If the HORNY TOADS can convert consistently on 3rd downs this game could be interesting heading into the 4th quarter.
MEGA-MAZING BITS
TCU has struggled the past few times in Stillwater losing 36-14, 24-10 and 49-29.
Summary
We never enjoy stepping in front of a speeding train (READ: OKLAHOMA ST) but wonder if this spread might be a bit high ? We have been high on the FIGHTING GUNDYS since the summer but TCU also appears to a team to deal with in 2017. Keep in mind that TCU has been a really good road dog the past 10 seasons ATS (13-5-1).
