Cincinnati at Michigan – College Football Predictions
The Game
The Big House should be a happy place this weekend as the retooling Bearcats take on the Wolverines as yuuuuuuuuuuuuge underdogs. Cincinnati started off with a win over FCS foe Austin Peay while Michigan took Florida BEHIND THE WOODSHED. Yes, Florida’s QB were worse than Colin Kaepernick, but the Wolverines still looked really good on both sides of the ball. Of course all we care about in this game is – can the Bearcats cover ? The win is a LOCK.

The Match-Up
Michigan offense vs Cincinnati defense
Michigan proved last week that points were going to come one way or another as long as their offense was on the field. Two pick-6s for the Gators, but do not forget, Michigan was also really balanced rushing for 215 yards and passing for 218. This is going to be a really difficult match-up for the Bearcats (Hot Take) as their defense was on the field for 38 (!) minutes last week vs Austin Peay and they have a serious problem getting PENETRATION (32 sacks in 2016/2015 combined). Michigan will probably not go out of their way to pile up the points, but then again, there is always the douchebag HC factor. And he may want to get 13 players in the Heisman conversation. You know the Bearcats cover is in trouble if Michigan starts with the onside kicks in the third quarter up by 40. Prognosis ? Pain for Cincy. 42-52 points allowed.
Cincinnati offense vs Michigan defense
We can say that Cincy has a shot at putting up a few points. Even though the Michigan defense is close to a brick wall – the Bearcats QB Hayden Moore is very capable and got off to a decent start – albeit vs Austin Peay (3 TD 0 INT). The dilemma is the running game getting anything going against the Michigan front 7. If you are in favor of the Cincinnati cover you need to hope for a couple short fields and/or a big play on offense or defense (pick 6 ?).
MEGA SIZZLERS
This is the first meeting between these two teams which is kinda neat since they have both been around for a LONG time…..different conferences to be sure….just saying…..TREND GUY advised us that Michigan is 18-4 to the over in their last 22 games…..10-3 last 13 over at home.
Summary
Yikes. This game feels like one where the spread is too high but a game in which the Michigan DEGENERATE WACKOS will pound and pound. Who knows where the line will end up ? Michigan proved last year that they have no problem running up the score and being happy about it.
Conclusion
No play. We recommend avoiding this puppy altogether. The only interesting play for small potatoes may be the Cincy TT over at 7 or better.
