Mississippi St at Auburn – College Football Predictions
The Game
Thud. Mississippi St came crashing down to earth last week after ripping the LSU Tigers to shreds in week 3. They ran into the Georgia Bulldog BUZZSAW and lost 31-3. If they want to remain longshot contenders in the SEC West they cannot afford to lose this one. Meanwhile Auburn is flying under the radar but have a 3-1 record with the only loss coming to YOUR 2016 Champion Clemson Tigers. Big game. Let’s roll !

The Match-Up
Auburn offense vs Mississippi St defense
The Tigers have looked pretty good against pure filth like Georgia Southern, Mercer and Missouri. They struggled mightily vs Clemson, but then again, who wouldn’t ? Mississippi St is playing some good defense so far (#10 FBS) and have been good vs the run and the pass (#37 pass efficiency defense). Same problem tho – we just do not know enough based on their resume. Are they really good on D ? Just good ? Average ? Auburn will get to test it with 3 RBs that have accumulated 184+ rushing yards and they also have four players with 124+ receiving yards. We have a feeling the Auburn offense is going to get better and better as the season rolls along. QB Jarrett Stidham has only thrown 3 TD passes so far which is a bit of disappointment.
Mississippi St offense vs Auburn defense
This is one of our favorite match-ups of the entire card. Mississippi St QB Nick Fitzgerald vs the rock solid Auburn defense. Fitzgerald is a deadly dual-threat weapon at QB but he was held in check last week vs Georgia (83 passing yards, 47 rushing). This just in – The Auburn defense is good. One of the things we underestimated in our 759832479 STAR MEGALOCKS MAX UNIT POUNDER LOSER LSU vs Mississippi St pick was the quality of RB Aeris Williams. He provides a nice compliment to the running and passing of Fitzgerald. The WR unit is not sexy but good enough to move the chains. Want another fun match-up ? How about an Auburn D that leads the SEC in TFL vs an offensive line that is doing a great job of preventing negative plays ? Get cho popcone.
MEGA-MAZING MUNCHIES
Auburn games are on a 10-3 run to the under L13.
Summary
The spread and the total both look a bit high to our SEC INSIDERS. We have had a hard time pegging Mississippi St so far and are not sure how they react after the beatdown at the hands of Georgia.
Conclusion
Lean to Mississippi St and the under. Both for small potatoes.
