The Game

Michigan looks to deal out a second consecutive beating as they face the UCF Knights at the Big House on Saturday. UCF exceeded their 2015 win total last week with a 38-0 victory over S Carolina St.

The Match-Up

Michigan offense vs UCF defense

The Wolverines pounded a travel-weary Hawaii team last week and will have a bit more difficulty in week two. To be honest, however, Michigan should be able to mix up the run and the pass all day and clear 500 yards without a problem. Last week they had great balance with 306 yards rushing and 206 yards passing. UCF is a lot more experienced this season but they did allow over 37 points per game last season while only managing 16 sacks. If Michigan does not throw up all over themselves with turnovers they should get into the 40s without a problem.

UCF offense vs Michigan defense

The Knights are going to have issues. QB Justin Holman was just a 50% passer last season and had twice as many INT and TD passes. Last week he was only 14-28. Last year the Knights were -20 in turnover margin. This just feels like a game that could easily get away from UCF early. Don’t forget – Michigan had two defensive TDs last week.

Tasty Tidbits

Michigan continues their brutal schedule next week hosting Colorado…These two teams have never met before…..Michigan is now 5-2 under HC Harbaugh as a home fav ATS….#smallsamplesize.

Summary

Similar to last week, the “value” in the line is with UCF, but we cannot support playing a team with a suspect defense that will probably be fortunate to score 10 points. It’s all up to Harbaugh.

Conclusion

No official play.
