MLB tidbits – Wednesday, May 8
Some quick thoughts on today’s MLB card. A couple of sentences detailing some of the stuff we considered when looking for investment opportunities.

Indians -202 White Sox +185
The BEEEEBS gets the call for Cleveland and is coming an excellent performance last time out….Lopez has 28 Ks in his last three outings and should find some Ks in the Tribe lineup….It’s Cleveland or nothing and we will side with nothing….Line about 25 cents too high….Player notes…Martin is 5/7 off the BEEEEEBS…McCann and Abreu hitting well lately….Indians bats are cold.
Seattle at New York (6:35 pm)
Yankees -127 Mariners +118
Kikuchi takes the bump for Seattle and will try to stop the Ms from dropping below .500…..He has been solid all season with decent stats and an ERA below 4.00….Loaisiga is just-a-guy (JAG) and the line reflects it…..We have it lined at -130 no interest in betting…..Player notes…DJ and Urshela both hitting over .400 L7 days and Sanchez has three bombs….E5 also has three DONGS over the L7 days.
Boston at Baltimore (7:05 pm)
Red Saaaax -290 Orioles +262
Sale vs Cashner. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Line is a bit ridiculous so we will take a seat…..Sale’s last three starts have been really solid….Cashner has actually not been completely horrible…..Saaaaax lineup should be able to put up 4+ easily and not sure Os can hit Sale……Player notes…..Mancini 7/19 off Sale…..Bogaaaaaats 3/8 off AC with a HR….Boston pretty hot with the bats overall…Chavis sits tonight…..Smith Jr in fine form for the Os.

Minnesota at Toronto (7:07 pm)
Twins -130 Blue Jays +120
Minnesota came through for our PERFECT STORM POWER LOCK CLUB yesterday and the Jays are definitely becoming WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE…..Gibson is JAG for the Twins (2/6 QS)….Thornton has surprised us and REALLY stunned us with his last outing when he shut down Texas….Jays below .500 at home and ice cold…..Slight lean to Twins….won’t be on it…..Player notes….Jays 0 DONGS in 45 AB vs Gibson…..Castro and Garver been hitting well and both are catchers wtf…..Polanco wielding a hot stick.

Tigers -109 Angels +100
Both SP have been good this season but Boyd has been REALLY good….33 hits in 44 innings with a FILTHY 57-11 K to BB ratio….Skaggs has an ERA around 3.00 and is 2/5 in QS…..Tigers 8-7 at home Angels 5-10 away….Lean to Los Tigres would only play them F5……Player notes….Tigers 12/20 (.600) off TS….Simmons is 3/3 with a DONG off Boyd……Rodriguez and Miggy hitting well right now (but no power for MC)…..Calhoun .400 over L7D.
Miami at Chicago (8:05 pm)
Cubs -222 Marlins +203
The scrappy Marlins are still….scrappy…..Just hard to take them from a betting perspective…..Hendricks has been great at home and is coming off an 81-pitch shutout….Urena is JAG with 49 hits allowed in 39 IP…..Cubs or nothing but price too high…..Player notes….Rizzo 5/11 with 3 XBH off JU….If you need a scrub DFS CA Alfaro is 3/4 with a 2B off KH lol…..Miami only one DONG in the last 7 days (!)….Cubs raking…Bryant 3 DINGERS and 10 RBI L7D.
San Francisco at Colorado (8:40 pm)
Rockies -148 Giants +137
POLAR VORTEX ALERT. UNLIKELY THIS GAME GOES. NOT WASTING TIME LOOKING AT IT, YO.
Kansas City at Houston (8:10 pm)
Astros -222 Royals +203
That smell in the air is the rotting corpse of Colin McHugh who got blasted yesterday by the Royals……Peacock was smashed in his last outing and there is no way we can back the Astros at this price…..Lopez in on our banned list of SP for KC…..Player notes…..Billy Hamilton gets on base once a week and this may be the night 3/3 off BP lol…..Royals hitting well right now would not fade these hitters….Whit and Dozier raking….Bregman on FIRE with 5 BOMBS and 10 RBI L7D.
Cincinnati at Oakland (10:07 pm)
Ahtletics -108 Reds +100
Whoa. No-hitter for our boy Mike Fiers (!!!) well done!!…..He has done it before but did NOT see that coming…..We are waiting for the Reds to break out and get hot but their bats are just BAT GUANO right now…..Anderson is a SP we cannot back even though he has only had one start in which he allowed more than 3 ER…..Not even glancing at Reds bats…..As only 3 DINGERS last 7 days.
Atlanta at Los Angeles (10:10 pm)
Dodgers -199 Braves +183
Kershaw. Yes, guy. He is 4/4 in QS and Folty has been trash in two starts for HOTLANTA…..Lean to the LAD in this tilt even at -199 not out of the question…..We had it lined at -200 so will probably pass just a gut feel they mash them….Player notes…..Markakis and Inciarte have decent BVP….Turner TRIPLE DONGED last night and should continue to hit well now that April is well behind him….Markakis and FF in fine form.
