Tulane 27 Cincinnati 24 – Green Wave are off to the AAC title game!…..383-337 yd edge, Cincy played with back-up QB, Bearcats ran for 235 yards but couldn’t do anything thru the air, Bearcats took the lead with 6 min left but allowed the winning TD just over a minute later, Tulane hosts UCF this Saturday in a rematch of a game from a few weeks ago (UCF win 38-31)
UCF 46 South Florida 39 – WHOA NELLIE!…..MEGALOCKS SEASON WIN TOTAL CLUB bagged another winner but had to work for it….Knights up 28-CACK….what could go wrong?…..Bulls GORE their way back to take the lead 39-38 with seven minutes left…..UCF drives for game winning TD with 20 sec left thanks to a pair of amazing catches….check the highlights, yo…..Still had to survive a late Hail Mary that was almost caught because ANALYTICS GUY said it was best to dribble the kickoff to midfield instead of hammer it deep….That’s STrateGEry!!!……UCF 547-438 yd edge and 345 rush yds but allowed 298 on the ground….both teams with 3 turnovers…..Check status of starting QB JR Plumlee who left again due to injury.
ACC
South Carolina 31 Clemson 30 – Major DEATH BLOW to Clemson’s CFP chances….COCKS outgained Clemson 414-336 and came back from early 14-CACK deficit….They couldn’t run the ball as expected by your pal Spencer Rattler threw for 360 yards and 2 TD (2 INT)…..Clemson had a shot to win the game on a late drive but fumbled the punt return and GLUG GLUG GLUG…..there goes the game down the drain…..Tigers have rushed for 200+ in each of L3G….QB DJU was just 8/29 for 99 yards (!)…..Tar Heels up next in ACC title game.
NC State 30 North Carolina 27 (2 OT) – Tar Heels tied the game on last second TD pass…..miss short FG in 2nd OT to keep the game going…..Pack down to 4th string QB and pick up a gusty win….351-330 yd edge for UNC…..off to face mighty Clemson next Saturday.
Big 12
TCU 62 Iowa St 14 – 62 points with less than 400Y……two defensive TDs….377-330 yd edge and +3 in t/o for Horned Frogs….up 24-CACK after first Q and that was it…..Note that TCU star WR Q Johnston did not play…..will be fine for next week…..Off to meet Kansas St in the Big 12 Championship Game.
Kansas St 47 Kansas 27 – 443-307 yd edge, 230 rush 213 pass, Wildcats off to the Big 12 title game….Cats got 23-7 lead early and Kansas was chasing all game.
Big Ten
Michigan 45 Ohio St 23 – WHOA NELLIE!…..Michigan wins the 2nd half 28-3…..530-492 yd edge for Wolverines…..Coming into this game Ohio St had allowed just ONE play of 60+ yards all season….Michigan had FOUR…..Phenomenal game for Wolverines playing without star RB and killing Ohio St with big plays in the THROW GAME……Off to face BOILER UP next Saturday in the conference title game.
Purdue 30 Indiana 16 – Indiana 421-388 yd edge including 215 (!) on the ground and they led 7-3 at the break…..Purdue with 27 points in the 2nd half to win going away and that included a defensive TD….On to face the mighty Wolverines thanks to CORN taking down Iowa on Friday.
Conference USA
North Texas 21 Rice 17 – 415-362 yard edge for Owls…..Sloppy weather game…..Mean Green took the lead with about 10 min left and held on to book a trip to the C-USA title game vs UTSA….North Texas was +2 in t/o gave up 229 passing yards to sketchy Rice team.
UTSA 34 UTEP 31 – yuuuuuge comeback win for UTSA…..fell behind 24-CACK but were tied by the end of the 3Q…..win on last second FG…..498-458 yd edge for UTEP, devastating loss as they miss out on a bowl game due to this choke job….UTSA gets home rematch with North Texas next Saturday!
MAC
Kent St 30 Buffalo 27 (OT) – not a good look for the Bulls, yo….Kent St won the yardage battle 364-346 and were down 24-10 after 3Q on the road….Used THREE QBs….Tie it up and win in OT…Buffalo needs win on Friday to make a bowl game…..Home vs Akron.
Akron 44 Northern Illnois 12 – yup, the Huskies packed it in well before kickoff….512-261 yard edge for Akron and THE UNDERCUFFLER had his best game at QB for the Zips……They’re off to Buffalo Friday to try and spoil the Bulls postseason hopes.
Ohio 38 Bowling Green 14 – Ohio is off to the MAC title game in a battle of MEGALOCKS FUTURES CLUB division winners…..384-279 yard edge and +4 in t/o….Back-up QB is nowhere near the passer of injured K Rourke but CJ Harris is an effective runner and looked pretty good.
Western Michigan 20 Toledo 14 – Broncos were outgained 334-188 but were +3 in t/o….Rockets played another game with back-up QB…..Held WM to just 2/20 on 3rd downs…..Should be competitive MAC Championship Game!
Mountain West
Boise 42 Utah St 23 – 468-428 yd edge for Utah St but were (-2) in turnovers….One of the most devastating turn of events imaginable for Utah St +16.5 backers…..and the PULP FICTION GIMP makes his final appearance of the season to torture degenerates……28-23 Boise St….1 min left ball deep in their own end…..what a SHARP bet on Utah St for SHARP PICKS guy…oh wait….what’s this?…..Boise St 91 yard TD run with a minute left…..darn…oh well…at least Utah St +16.5 is still a winner!! There’s just 30 seconds left!….oh wait….what’s this?…..Boise St pick six…..TD…..Boise wins by 19 and covers…..game over….start the cars….thanks for coming!…..Wear those masks!….Get those DEATH BOOSTERS!….Four is NOT enough!
Fresno St 30 Wyoming 0 – 297-191 yd edge for Fresno St……7 straight wins for Bulldogs heading into the title game vs Boise St…..Definitely looking like a much better team since return of star QB J Haener.
PAC 12
USC 38 Notre Dame 27 – Trojans jump out to 10-CACK lead after first Q, built lead to 24-7, Irish chased all game…..436-408 yd edge for USC, 204 rush 232 pass and held potent Notre Dame ground game to just 90 yards…..Off to PAC 12 title game and rematch with Utah.
Utah 63 USC 21 – 662-185 yd edge for Utes and 383 rush yards…..Weasel their way into date with USC thanks to Oregon loss to Oregon St.
SEC
Georgia 37 Georgia Tech 14 – Tech jumps out to quick 7-0 lead…..GT cover looks like a MORTAL LOCK…..Georgia makes things interesting for +35 and similar Yellow Jackets by scoring 37 points in a row…..Had the ball up 30 in 4Q…..Tech gets TD to clinch the cover…..407-255 yd edge for Bulldogs, 264 rush yds…..off to SEC Championship and date with LSU.
Texas A&M 38 LSU 23 – 429-384 yd edge for Aggies and they rushed for 274 yards, LSU’s 2nd mediocre performance in L3G.
Sun Belt
James Madison 47 Coastal Carolina 7 – There was no reason for the Chants to care and they didn’t give two DOO DOOs about this one…..502-183 yd edge for Dukes….Off to face Troy for all the FUN BELT marbles.
Troy 48 Arkansas St 19 – Yes, guy…..MEGALOCKS FUTURES CLUB get Troy thru to the title game…..Arkansas St was tough for 3Q and led 19-14 before Troy rattled off an impossible 35 points (!) in the fourth Q…..412-259 yd edge for Trojans.
